Faculty Spotlight!

Adria Pecora, Visual Arts Faculty, joined the PVCC in the fall of 2005. She possesses an M.F.A. from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a B.S. from Skidmore College. Pecora is a 2010 recipient of a Contemporary Forum Artist Grant from the Phoenix Art Museum. Recent projects include “Exchanges” (The Icehouse, 2010); “Feedback” (Experimental Arts Festival, 2009); and “Nets” (City of Phoenix public art commission, 2007). She is the editor of a Worldstudio Foundation journal, Dispel The Prejudice! and a Cooper Union publication, Vito Acconci: language/bodies/sound/cities, excerpts from the artist’s writings, 1967–2000. Her work is represented in the collections of the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art; The Santa Fe Art Institute; and the Franklin Furnace Artist Book Collection at the Museum of Modern Art.
